A working log at Artotems Co. Hey, it's work but it's fun.
V-Day UVM (Hermosillo) 2010
iWeb, the web design package that comes with iLife on your Mac is a dandy little program but for the user that wants to step it up a bit the program has its limitations.
At Artotems we decided to give its users a few alternatives to step up the appeal of iWeb sites.
We provide modules for iWeb that play flv videos, display your news items and even play a selection of mp3 audio files. With a combination of XML and Flash almost anything is possible. You can see our iWeb services page here: http://artotems.com/iWeb_Services.aspx
You can see it all come togther in Troy McCarty Pilates, a site we assisted with and added a few modules to in order to spice things up. Take a peek: http://troymccartypilates.com/Troy_McCarty_Pilates/Welcome.html
A History of Design
Artotems Co. had its start back in 1990 and was founded by C. Tucker (Art). It was known as Pod Systems for many years. At that time it produced software for Healthcare systems and slowly transitioned to producing multimedia software for many purposes. It has been reborn as Artotems Co. in recent years. The drumbeat of good design that communicates on a very human level has been the driving force behind the company since the beginning. Whether it was client information systems or digital tools for creative research the first step has always been good design.
Who Do We Serve?
Artotems Co. assists small and large businesses as well as individuals throughout the world with unique messaging and designs for the web and print.
What Do We Believe?
We believe your services and products on the web can be presented in a more interactive, enticing, and meaningful way. We believe that the services we provide must be personal, intelligent, and direct.
While the web is an ever-changing target we believe good communication isn’t a mystery and there are many paths to communicating well on the internet.
We work closely with our customers to understand their needs, products, and services and the best possible way to communicate their message to the audience they wish to target.

Workspace Tutorial for Academic Use (in Spanish!)
I recently finished working on a workspace tutorial presentation designed to encourage and help professors and students to use Workspace in their classes. It proves an easy and efficient way to keep everyone organized and informed.

Greets!

Been playing with Flash and XML lately. It’s an amazing combination for development. It also makes it possible for the end user to easily update basic information, pictues, movies, etc. without ever changing the orginal Flash module. This news module at Artotems Co. has been updated to a flash/xml combination to make life easier for me. Test it out and play with it. Try the new arrow features to page through the previous news bits. ( http://artotems.com/artotems_news.aspx )
